Fine Arts | Dance & Orchesis

Dance I & Movement Studies

No prior dance experience is necessary to enroll. This co-ed course is designed for students who want an introduction to dance that will give them the opportunity to experience a wide variety of genres. Students will be trained in the basics of ballet, modern and jazz dance. 

Dance II & Movement Studies

Students are guided and challenged to develop greater proficiency regarding elements of choreography, performance, composition, anatomy, movement studies (yoga/meditation, Pilates, wellness and mindfulness themes), guest artist experiences, dance history and analysis.

Dance IV & Choreography & Performance

Students are guided and challenged to develop greater proficiency regarding elements of choreography, performance, composition, anatomy, movement studies (yoga/meditation, Pilates, wellness and mindfulness themes), guest artist experiences, dance history and analysis at an accelerated pace. 

Orchesis

Orchesis is an audition-based performing arts dance company that focuses on dance technique, performance, and student production. With guided instruction, and numerous performances throughout the year, Orchesis members develop in all facets of the art form. Students are advised and challenged to develop in many elements of dance including technique, choreography, performance, composition, anatomy, movement studies, and dance history.
